Do I need Microsoft Excel?

No. Every template also works in Google Sheets, which is free with a Google account. If you have Excel 2016 or later (Windows or Mac) or Microsoft 365, you can use the Excel files.

Does it work on a Mac?

Yes, in Excel for Mac (2016 or later) or in Google Sheets in any browser.

Can I use it on my phone or iPad?

Yes, through the Google Sheets app with the Google Sheets version, which is handy for adding entries on the go. Setting it up the first time is easiest on a computer.

Does it work in Apple Numbers?

The templates are not built or tested for Numbers. Please use Google Sheets (free) or Excel.

How do I get my files?

Right after payment, on the confirmation page and by email. See How to download for the steps.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep the files.

Are there any macros or add-ins?

No. No macros, no add-ins, no internet connection and no bank connection. Your data stays in your own file.

Can I change categories, labels and colours?

Yes. Every template has a Setup tab for your own categories, labels and lists, and the rest of the workbook follows. Avoid typing over cells with formulas: the instruction guide shows which cells are yours to fill.

Which currency does it use?

Yours. Templates that handle money have a currency setting on the Setup tab: enter your symbol once and the whole workbook uses it. The German, Spanish, French and Italian versions come set to euros.

Is this financial, tax, legal or medical advice?

No. Every template is a tracker tool only: it records and adds up what you enter. You are responsible for checking your figures and for your decisions. See our terms.

Can I share the file or use it for clients?

You can use it for your own household or your own business. Please do not share, resell or redistribute the files.

Can I get a refund?

Digital downloads are final, but if a template does not work as described, we will fix it or refund you. See the refund policy.
