About this template
This declutter planner takes you through the house room by room and records what you decide about each item. It is for anyone clearing a home before a move (a moving declutter is where it earns its keep), a spring clean or a simpler way of living, who wants a decluttering plan that shows how far they have got and what the things they sold actually brought in.
Please read: This is a tracker tool only, not financial, tax, legal, medical or any other professional advice or advisory service. It records and calculates what you enter; you are solely responsible for checking all figures, rates, dates and results and for every decision you make. By purchasing, downloading or using it, you accept these terms (your statutory consumer rights are not affected).
Five decisions, not two
Every item gets one of five decisions: keep, sell, donate, recycle or bin. Each is color coded, so a room is easy to read at a glance and the declutter checklist never turns into a vague pile of maybes.
Worth against sold for
What you think something is worth and what somebody actually paid are two different numbers. Both columns sit on the same row. After thirty items, the difference between them is the most honest thing the file will tell you.
Progress per room and overall
A declutter usually stalls in the third room, and a percentage is what gets you into the fourth. The planner shows how far through you are in each room and across the whole house. It also totals what is listed for sale and has not gone yet, which is the pile that quietly moves back into the house.
- 300 items across twelve rooms
- Keep, sell, donate, recycle or bin
- What you think each item is worth, and what it actually sold for
- How far through, as a percentage
- Still to sell, totaled
- A Habits tab for small regular habits, such as clearing one drawer, because a declutter is a habit before it is a project
- A Tasks tab for everything the main tab does not cover, from charity runs to home organization jobs
- A dashboard reading all of it
Six connected tabs and a filled example
Start Here, Setup, Declutter, Tasks, Habits and Dashboard. The example copy holds 32 items across ten rooms, with 18 gone and 56% done. The blank copy is ready for your own home, and the Start Here tab walks you through setup in a few minutes.
