About this template
This moving planner keeps a box list that matches the labels on the boxes, so you know what is in each one and which room it belongs to. It is for anyone moving house who has ever opened six boxes looking for the kettle.
Please read: This is a tracker tool only, not financial, tax, legal, medical or any other professional advice or advisory service. It records and calculates what you enter; you are solely responsible for checking all figures, rates, dates and results and for every decision you make. By purchasing, downloading or using it, you accept these terms (your statutory consumer rights are not affected).
Every box numbered
Boxes are numbered from BOX-101 upward, each pointed at a room. Fragile boxes are flagged and counted, and packed against still to pack is worked out for every room. Five box states are tracked, so the box inventory shows where the move really stands. Every figure on the dashboard is calculated from the tabs behind it. Nothing is typed into a summary, so the front page can never disagree with the rows it came from.
What is included
- Boxes: 200 rows, numbered from BOX-101, a room on every box, fragile flagged, five states tracked
- Tasks: 200 rows covering jobs such as meters, redirects and keys, by room and by state, with days to moving day and jobs left counted
- Budget: 200 lines with estimate against actual, still to pay, and per-room totals
- Dashboard: live, read from every tab
There are seven connected tabs, all reading the same source list, so nothing is entered twice. The Tasks tab works as your moving checklist, the Boxes tab as a packing list, and the Budget tab as a moving budget that shows what is still to pay.
You get real spreadsheet files, not a PDF with a link in it: Excel and Google Sheets, each filled in and each blank and ready for yours. The filled copy is the file in the photos, so you can see how it behaves before you type anything.
