About this template
This warranty tracker keeps a record of what you bought, when, for how much and how long it is covered, with the receipt status and serial number on the same row. It is for households that want a warranty claim to take five minutes instead of an afternoon of searching.
Please read: This is a tracker tool only, not financial, tax, legal, medical or any other professional advice or advisory service. It records and calculates what you enter; you are solely responsible for checking all figures, rates, dates and results and for every decision you make. By purchasing, downloading or using it, you accept these terms (your statutory consumer rights are not affected).
Everything a claim asks for
A claim needs three things: the date, the price and the receipt. Most also want a serial or order number. This appliance tracker keeps all of them together, along with the retailer.
- Expiry, worked out: the purchase date plus the warranty in months, so you never calculate it again, and the list orders itself by what is running out
- Days left, amber at ninety: enough notice to do something about a fault you have been ignoring before the warranty expiry passes
- The receipt, in four states: photo, paper, email or none, with the items that have no receipt counted, because that is the state that turns a valid claim into a refused one
- Serial or order number on every row: the other thing a claim asks for and nobody can find
What the receipt organizer holds
- 200 items across ten categories
- Bought date, price and retailer
- Warranty in months, and the expiry worked out
- Days left, amber inside ninety
- Receipt status, and the items with no receipt counted
- A Tasks tab for everything the main tab does not cover
- A dashboard reading all of it
Five tabs and a filled example
Start Here, Setup, Warranties, Tasks and Dashboard. The example copy holds 28 items, 20 still in warranty, one expiring inside 90 days and two with no receipt at all. The blank copy is ready for your own household records, and the Start Here tab walks you through setup in a few minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The Excel workbooks run on Excel 2016 or later on Windows and Mac, and the instruction guide has one-click links to copy the Google Sheets versions with a free Google account.
Does it work out when a warranty ends?
Yes. You enter the purchase date and the warranty length in months, and the expiry date and days left are calculated for you.
Can I store photos of receipts in it?
No. It records where the receipt is: photo, paper, email or none. Items with no receipt are counted so you can find one before you need it.

Days left turns amber inside ninety days.
How many items can I record?
200 items across ten categories, each with the bought date, price, retailer and serial or order number.
