About this template
This nail tech bookkeeping spreadsheet is for nail technicians working from a nail salon chair, a room or their own nail business. It logs appointments with a rebooked column, splits income by service, and turns everything into monthly, quarterly and yearly totals.
Please read: This is a tracker tool only, not financial, tax, legal, medical or any other professional advice or advisory service. It records and calculates what you enter; you are solely responsible for checking all figures, rates, dates and results and for every decision you make. By purchasing, downloading or using it, you accept these terms (your statutory consumer rights are not affected).
Rebookings are the business
A client coming back for an infill every three weeks is worth more over a year than four one-off full sets. The Appointments tab has a Rebooked column, so the client who fills the same slot every third Tuesday is easy to see and easy to keep.
Salon bookkeeping in your own words
This is beauty bookkeeping written for nails. The ledger opens on the lines a nail technician actually earns and spends, not a generic shop chart of accounts.
- Income lines: Gel and BIAB, Acrylic and extensions, Manicure and pedicure, and Nail art and repairs
- Expense lines: Products and consumables, Chair or room rent, Tools and equipment, and Laundry and hygiene, and more
Eleven connected tabs
Start Here, Setup, Appointments, Clients, Income, Expenses, Monthly, Quarterly, Profit and Loss, Balances and Dashboard.
- 500 income rows and 500 expense rows
- An appointment tracker with a rebooked column
- Monthly and quarterly totals, which is how tax gets filed
- A profit and loss built from the same two lists, with chair rent and supplies included
- 10 client records showing what each has been worth
- Account balances, so the file knows what the business holds
- A dashboard that reads all of it
A worked year and a blank copy
The filled copy follows one nail tech through a year: 392 income entries and 358 expense entries at a 60.9% margin. The blank copy is ready for your own clients, and the Start Here tab walks you through setup in a few minutes.
This is a bookkeeping spreadsheet, not an accountant. Tax rates and what you can claim are yours to set and yours to check.
