About this template
This bookkeeping spreadsheet is built for pressure washing and window cleaning, with the income and costs of exterior cleaning already set up. It is for owner-operators who run window rounds alongside one-off washes and want to see how the recurring work and the single jobs each contribute to the year.
Please read: This is a tracker tool only, not financial, tax, legal, medical or any other professional advice or advisory service. It records and calculates what you enter; you are solely responsible for checking all figures, rates, dates and results and for every decision you make. By purchasing, downloading or using it, you accept these terms (your statutory consumer rights are not affected).
Categories for exterior cleaning
Generic ledgers start with product sales and service income. Here the lines describe a cleaning business, and both lists are dropdowns so the year adds up without near-duplicates.
- Income: Window rounds, Pressure washing, Gutter and fascia, and Roof and render
- Expenses: Chemicals and consumables, Water and power, Equipment, Waste disposal and more
Rounds apart from one-off jobs
A window round is recurring, while a softwash is a one-off. A round billed weekly brings in cash very differently from a driveway billed once, so the ledger keeps the two apart and you can see how much of your income repeats.
Mileage with your own reasons
Every trip in the mileage log gets a reason from a dropdown: round, refill, quote visit or supplier. The year's total is ready when you need it.
The rest of the ledger
- Income and Expenses: 500 rows each
- Monthly and Quarterly: the totals tax is filed on
- Profit and Loss: built from the same two lists
- Clients: 10 client records with what each has been worth
- Balances and Dashboard: what the business holds, and the whole picture
- Start Here and Setup: setup in a few minutes
A bookkeeping spreadsheet, not an accountant. Tax rates and what you can claim are yours to set and yours to check.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need Excel, or can I use Google Sheets?
Either. The download has Excel files for Excel 2016 or later on Windows and Mac, and the instruction guide has one-click links to copy the Google Sheets versions with a free Google account.
Can I track window rounds separately from pressure washing jobs?
Yes. Window rounds, Pressure washing, Gutter and fascia, and Roof and render are separate income lines.
How does the mileage log work?
Each trip has a reason from a dropdown, such as round, refill, quote visit or supplier, and the year is totaled.
Does it have invoices or an estimated tax tab?
No. This file covers income, expenses, mileage, monthly and quarterly totals, a profit and loss, clients and balances.
How many entries does it hold?
500 income rows and 500 expense rows, plus 10 client records.
