About this template

This reseller profit tracker gives every item its own cost basis, so your margin is a real number and not a hope. It suits thrift flipping and anyone reselling on eBay, Poshmark or other platforms, and shows what each item, each platform and each month actually made.

Cost basis per item

Unit cost against sell price, margin on every line, and the value of your shelf at both cost and retail. You enter money in on one tab and money out on another, pick a tax rate for each line, and everything else reads those two. The monthly view, the quarterly view, the profit and loss statement, the sales tax worksheet and the dashboard all recalculate. Nothing is typed twice, and no number on a report can disagree with the ledger it came from.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work in Excel or Google Sheets?

Both. The Excel workbooks run in Excel 2016 or later on Windows and Mac, and the instruction guide has one-click links to the Google Sheets versions.

Can I compare profit across selling platforms?

Yes. The dashboard shows what each platform made after fees and shipping, and how many items sold there.

How many items can it hold?

The Inventory tab has 200 lines, each with cost, price, margin and stock value, and a reorder level that flags itself when stock drops.

Can I see how long items take to sell?

Yes. The dashboard shows the days from listing to sale for items and the average, plus sell-through and what is still listed.

Can I log mileage for sourcing trips?

Yes. The Mileage tab logs sourcing runs at your own rate.
